I've been getting pain on the insertion point of my antior delt with I believe is the greater tubrical on my right shoulder. Any type of movement sets it off, but ESPECIALLY when I move it medially. Such as if I were to reach across my chest and grab my left shoulder with my right arm.

Any commin problems this could be?

I cant afford a doctor. And I need to make a correction, its not the insertion, its on the Orgin, which off the top of my head I dont konw exactly where that is.

Ice it and rest.

Can you put a shirt on without it hurting?

Sure it's not a rotator cuff injury?

When did it first start hurting?

Its possible, this problem has come and gone for a few years. I have no problem putting on a shirt. Its not NEARLY that painfull...I jus want to to take care of it before it gets to that point.

Did you wake up with it one day? Chances are you slept on your shoulder wrong. I do that all the time.

I'm kinda surprised no one has suggested tendonitis.

Some good info at these two places

http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/fact/thr_report.cfm?Thread_ID=133&topcategory=Shoulder

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/tendinitis/DS00153

some suggestions on shoulder injury treatment here:

http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/fact/thr_report.cfm?Thread_ID=121&topcategory=Shoulder

I not a doc, but I would suggest stretching on a regular basis and maybe taking some type of supp like Glucosamine & Chondroitin with MSM. The stretching will help prevent pulling on the tendon attachment to the bone, if it is in fact some form of tendonitis.

Since you can't go to a doc, it sounds like you need to rest & ice the area, stretch OFTEN & read up on what it could possibly be to prevent it from reaching a stage that is more severe ... and potentially really hurting yourself or tearing something ...

Hope this helps :)
