Anouncment: MArine Corp

Sometime last year, I went through some legal troubles regarding a fake i.d. I'm sure some of you might remember. Well, it basically ended my college AF rotc career in one way or another.

Since then, I applied to MArine Corps. Platoon Leadership Class which is a part of Officer Candidate School. It was hard work to get my package in and done, but I wanted to announce that I was accepted and given a flight contract to report to Naval Flight School upon graduation and completion of The Basic School.

So, I'd like to dish out some thanks to a few people. KIAN, MOOSE, and SYNPAX especially. I know there are others, but those are the ones i can think about off my head. So hats off to them. Also, I'd like to say thanks to everyone here for keeping me motivated.

Congratulations : Get your PFT up to 190 and mentally prepare and you will be fine. Believe me you will need to be at your top esp. if you want to make it to flight school.

190 ? ..that is not that good ...get it up to at least 260 go for a perfect 300

Yea, I was thinking 190? WTF!?! Im sure he meant 290. Mine is currently at around 267 or so. Somewhere around there. I max the pull ups and crunches easy. The run is the hardest for me. So, I'm wokring on that a lot now. Doing the last 5 weeks of the 8 week pre-ocs workout from their website. Then, if I am in good enough shape, I'm going to start a 6 week "force recon prep" program. That should make me invincible. hahahaha

Agreed, Make sure you get a few of you flight officers together and rent a nice house in Grand Lagoon or Bayou Texar, although the latter is a long commute.
