another "messed up" hairstyle question...

what kind of stylin product could i use to achieve this effect and make it look good. traditional hair gel kinda sucks for the job... would a pomade work (i've never used pomade and don't really know what its for anyway, just wondering, in case that was a really dumb question...)

look at some american crew products.....depending on how much hold you need and how much shine you want.

pomade has a high shine
fiber is very low shine and really holds
i also use this stuff they make in their liquid line called structure...low shine, high hold

i will usually use fiber or the structure stuff, and finish it with firm hold gel or hair spray
