Another hair loss thread...

Minoxidol is the active ingredient in many topical, over the counter, hair loss formula’s. Its use as hair loss product was accidentally when it was originally developed as drug to treat hyper-tension, by increasing the blood flow through the body etc. One of the ‘side-effects’ was hair growth, i.e. bald men growing new hair.

My question is, is it possible to use minoxidil tablets orally to treat hair loss, as opposed to using the otc topical stuff. Its much easier popping pills than stuffing around with some topical stuff, and I just wandered if this was an alternative way of taking the stuff.

It's called "loniten".

It causes some blood-pressure problems and it grows hair...everywhere.

You'll look like a fucking gorilla that escaped from the zoo. But if you that's what you want then by all means take it.

Why not just get some finasteride and chill out until dutasteride is released?

My friend is a doctor, and I got her to do me a script for proscar, and suggested the minoxidil tabs might be an alternative if the side effects from proscar were too much. I think she said, that before the days of otc topical minoxidil, people use to take the minoxidil tabs (off label use). Perhaps the topical is just a development of this to treat MPB, like propecia is to proscar. She thought the absorption from the topical stuff wouldn't be that great, and that the tabs might be better. Anyway, her expertise is in laser surgery, so I think this is just conjecture on her behalf.

WTF is dutasteride????

Dutasteride is new 5-alpha reductase (like finasterdie) and it shoul be lot more powerful than Finasteride.

Bro why dont you just use topical Xandrox or Revivogen, those are even better DHT blockers than finasterde without sides, because they are used topically.
