Had another solid one all around. Decided to do some type of pull instead of a GM in the gym to save my bicep tendons a little bit...had fun.

315, needs form work...

St. Calf Raises

Conan's Wheel (just for practice)
285 x 2 turns x 2 sets...extremely easy

Super Yoke
350, 440, 530, 620, 800 x 50'
800 x 50', PR on time I am sure...

Keg Toss
5-10 tosses

Fingled Finger
few warm ups
350 x 4 flips

2" Thick bar timed holds (doulbe overhand grip)
120, 210, 300 x 10-20 seconds each
390 x about 4 seconds...lol
350 x 20 seconds
300 x 20 seconds x 2 sets

Atlas Stones (even after telling everyone that I wouldn't do them this week)
190, carry 15' to tall platform
415 stone broke the ground...not expecting it to...lol

Glute Ham Raises
mid band for help x 6 x 2 sets

Pull Down abs for timed holds

brian747478' had a good day all considering. Talk a bruise behind his knee that runs down to mid calf...ouch.

He did several light sets of conan's wheel and sled walking, power shrugs, lots of grip work.

Clint why does it seem that you dont actually use max effort on max effort day? you seem to stop a good 20-50lbs before

any reason?
 
thanks guys....just got out of bed and let me tell ya...that was an adventure...feel like my body siezed up on me sometime in the night;)

exodus, now that i think about it i think he said he doesnt like missing lifts. thats understandable but he could still get at least 20-50lbs more before he even comes near failure

also, why arent you training over there? have you been training the events recently?

I actually normally don't.

When doing the rack pulls...I think that 725-750 MIGHT have gone but what would it have actually done. I'd done about 10 sets to hit 680 and I would have had to have waited another 3-10 minutes to have 'missed' a weight.

Also, look what else we did in the day...an 800 Super Yoke for one, fingers, conn's wheel, and stones...my body got hit pretty hard:)

I also feel that most people who are training to be an athlete do not need to go to failure that much...their body is taking a beating from LOTS of other things...

You will. You need to hit 195 or better by December 20th then start your conditioning and be a ripped 190 on contest day in Feb.

B. On the throws it didn't look like you were getting any explosive power frow your legs, you should be off the ground after your throws. Very impressive as usual.
