You should put some wheels on that sled, it would be much easier to pull.

Tell that to the promoter of my next contest...lol...

There is a guy here in Kentucky that has them made...they are perfectly round and very cheap. I love mine!!! Just need a full set.

nice.. conans walk looks hard (is that the one w/ the stone filled basket where you walk around in a circle??)

Good luck w/ compressing the videos.... i tried to install win xp on my computer so it was up to date more( i downloaded it off of kazaa), and my damn computer kept restarting (does that a lot ) and completely fucked up my OS cause it didnt know which one to refer too... so i just lost every bit of data (including my training log)... so right now i kinda hate computers

Yeah...the conan's wheel is very hard. It isn't a position that I am used to...very tough on the hips and lower back. The yoke is natural for me as it is similar to a squat...the conan's wheel is an arched back walk and the more that your muscles tire, the more that you lean back, the more that you lean back the less oxygen that you get (bar presses into your lungs) and you are then screwed. I must get better at it.

Working on the videos...hope to have a site up soon.

great videos... all are ALOT better than the other ones you used to post, cause they are a little bigger....

Note to everyone : When it opens in windows media player, just go to View::zoom::200% or view::full screen

That will make the videos a bit larger, so you can see them better.

Thanks man...those were the worst quality ones I had. They were really clear till I shrunk them in size. Hope to have my website up soon and will post lots of good quality pics and videos.

what website server are you using to host your videos?? You could learn to set up an ftp(talk to irish power) or set them up on his.

Or you could get your own domain name (i.e. www.KCStrongman.com) shouldnt cost more than 100$ a year probably..

I went through...uhh..can't remember. Shoot...Happy Scrappy helped me set it up last night. Takes a couple of days for it to go through but I will have my own domain name...lol.

www.pinkdumbells.com How does that sound?
www.babybluedumbells.com Even better? :)

Loved the pic...I must save it...lol

haha nice domains... i like babybluedumbbells.com personally.

I just got photoshop so i hjad to get re-acquainted with it. Glad you liked the pic... it make syou look very strong.

You should see the video clip of me walking after finishing the sled drag...lol. Talk about walking funny!!!!!

If you ever get the chance...try them. They will really fry your quads...ouch.

I gotta get some good software for my computer...

B True

i gotta make myself a sled... never got around to it.. wayy to lazy.

Right now, im working on making myself appear to be doing a very large deadlift.... i dunno how its gonna look though.

You should just get windows XP, heard its great..

If I can "find" a copy from a friend...I'll probably go ahead and use it. Afraid that it will totally screw up my computer though...don't know much about it.

A sled can be easy...you can always take an old tire and rim and just put weights on top of it. Wood can be done also...just take a couple 2x4's and make a large T. Nail/screw them together and drive a hook into the front and put a very large nail/bolt in the middle of the T so that you can add weigts. It may not work perfect...but it is a start.

good ideas.

I had downloaded a copy of win XP but since my computer has a random restart problem it screwed everything up, and i lost all my data.

Check back at http://www.geocities.com/xdecieverx/test.html i just ummm set a PR w/ a 675 dead :) :) :)

As for windows XP it blows away win 98, 2000 and anyuthing else, great gui(graphic user interfaace), great programs for video's and its really easy to use.

I may give the sled i dea a try

Not bad...lol...

I might bring my hands in a bit if I were you and get some Chucks...lol...

yeah, that was from my last contest.. back when i was a young'n. I own a pair of chucks now, and i pull conventional (more than sumo). I think thats a decent dealdift for a 135lb , 14 year old kid.

You are NOT a kid...you have heart and soul...you are a lifter among other great things.

I've seen only a few of the Conan's Wheel events on the professional cirsuit - and ust about every time someone hyper extends their knee during that event.

My theory is that due to the circular path being walked combined with the bulk of the weight on one side of your body makes this event very dangerous.

Otherwise - cool as usual B-Fold.

Side note - just met an Olympic hopeful a couple of weeks ago - sonofagun is 6'2", #275 @15% B.F. - showing me how to do the snatch and power clean. Next step - stone throwing.

Mark Phillipi is the only pro strongman to hyper extend his knee on the Conan's wheel...they just show the same episode over and over. He also tore his knee up a couple years prior when I car fell on him.

It is very hard on your back...and hips.

got bored this morning, and decided to build myself a make shift sled, and baseball farmer walk apparatus. Only took about an hour- hour and ahalf to make both of them. I just need to find an I-hook to mount on the front of the sled

Heck yeah man!!! The sled can be used for cardio, conditioning, AR, and to increase your GPP.

The farmers can be used to strengthen your grip...especially on your deadlift...

Can you take a pic???

B True

cant take a pic.... dont have a camera with film, or a digital camera...its nothing special at all... i made all terrain.. i put carpet on the bottomof it, so it doesnt make a load screeching noise (from the nails), and it also allows me to drag it around my basement if im too lazy to walk up my stairs and go outside..

the farmer walk thing is fun to toy around with.. i could really feel it....

Great...must continue to give us updates on what all you are doing with them both!!!

B True

i couldnt find an i-hook so i took a bunch of wire staples and nailed them into the front and ran a rope through them, and then tied another knot to a small caribeaner, and connected another caribeaner to that one, which will loop onto my belt. I may try it after my squat workout tomorrow or the day after

You will be rigging things up just like me in no time....

Just don't forget my tragic seated pulley row accident....

B True

lol how could i forget that picture of you flying backwards...

maybe i'll build a pair of farmer walk implements
