Hey bro's :)

I've had a little niggling pain in my right forarm for maybe 3 or 4 weeks, it wasn't at all bad but after heavy, heavy, intense workouts for the last 2/3 weeks on my :heart::heart: test + dbol :heart::heart: cycle its gonna need some time off. i'm gonna have to hold off on any exercise involving grip strength, rows, pull/push downs, curls etc. I'm heartbroken as i'm making such good gains on this cycle.

my question is for any bro's who have experience with this sort of problem, will a week off (on cycle.....) be enough to rest this arm? its not super badly hurt, just a bit painful to grip in certain ways. the pain is on the outer/underside of my forearm about 3 inches above the wrist. I don;t wanna waste this wonderful window of opportunity for a second longer than i have to.

Did you get it looked at by your Dr.?

If ithas hurt for 3 wks. taking one wk off is unlikely to solve the problem.

I have "golfers elbow on the right arm and tennis elbow on the left arm. I took 4 wks. off before i started my latest cycle and it didn't do anything.. Still hurts like a bitch..

My advice is to go to the Dr.

Good Luck

I would take a week off of everything and use Skeletal Balm

When you go back assess how it feels and work back into things slowly.

You got see the doc and they will just give you the run around bullshit. You may get lucky and get a extra but I doubt it. You have to go back at least 2-3 times with big time pain before they will give you one.

If you want a x-ray right away go to a Choro. They often have one right in there office and will give you one right on the spot. Then they will be able to tell you if you got a hair line fracture or any bone problems.

If its a muscle problem fucking forget it. The doctors not going to hel until that bitch rips in half. All they will tell you to do is rest it. In order to find out if you got a small muscle tare they would need to give a MRI or something like that.

Guess what? unless you got the most expensive bestest best insurance in the world your not getting one for this problem.
Doctors are trained to

1. push the meds that the drug reps tell them to push
2. save the insurance company as much many as they can.

And there you have it.

sorry to hear that man. seems like were both screwed right now with your forearm and my rotator cuff :(

1) You may do like I used to, where the moment you start your cycle you feel like you are on borrowed time. Don't crush yourself while on cycle, because managing stress is an important aspect of building muscle (just like hormones, training, sleep and diet). Work out hard -- but if you are routinely injuring yourself, you aren't doing yourself any favors.

2) If you have tendonitis, only time off and anti-inflammitories will fix it. Use the anti-inflammatories AND rest -- don't use the anti-inflams to just push your problem back a week and make things worse. Eventually you'll have to pay the piper and it only gets more expensive.

3) If you are susceptable to tendonitis in your forearms, manage your use of your grip by using wrist wraps. I've been hit by forearm tendonitis before. You don't have to use wraps all the time. If you've got a week that includes deadlift, reverse curls, bent-over rows, up-right rows and shrugs just plan on breaking-up those lifts by periodically using wraps.

This is so true.

BTW last time I had "forarm pain" it took a good 3 weeks off to feel 100%

Thanks everyone for your replies :D

no i havnt been to the doctor, i don't think theres any point as all i need is rest, which i will be told to get plenty of.
I'm pretty sure its a muscle problem, thats where the pain is, which i get when i grip with my hand. i should have payed more attention to the problem before it got to this stage........
gonna give the arm a weeks rest and go from there, maybe try some light work and check for pain. if it doesnt feel right i'll give it another week. what else can i do? its a shocking waste of my cycle time..........

mrplunkey - how would i know if i had tendonitis? i thought it would be a minor muscle tear or something along those lines. I train really hard and have a passion for bodybuilding..... recently i have been putting in 110% and seeing great results, its just frustrating to have to take tome off at such a crucial time.

I'm a far cry from a doctor's advice. So please get checked-out.

I know I have tendonitis when I get a very sharp pain between the muscle and joint in my upper forearm. It will hurt when I grip. Early-on, the pain will subside after warmup but hurt like hell later that day. Once it's been hurting for a week or two, it will hurt while lifting or even during everyday activities like opening doors or picking things up.

~Rest the Area completly for 2-3 days

~ Then when you go back, drop the movement that caused the acute injury and replace it with something else.

~ Also opt for higher reps the next 2 weeks.

~ Above all, you don't have to lift the world to look big
