Another avatar question

Elite members,

I do follow instructions yet I feel inadequate at the moment. I tried to post my avatar three times now and I have been unsuccessful in all attempts. This is what I did;

(1) Profile
(2) Edit options
(3) Click YES for custom avatar
(4) Browse
(5) submit modifications

Did I miss a step guys/gals? Is there a period of time that you have to wait for?

it has to be within the realm of 100x100 pixels - can be smaller, but not larger.
and then in terms of how much disk space that it takes up, it has to be smaller than... I think 20K.

if it doesn't pass that, then it won't let you put it up.

Thanx man. The pic I am trying to put into effect is not working beacause of the "pixels".

How does anyone who uses an actual photograph make it into an avatar? I am not exactly the photo shop boy either. This pic is legit!

you can e-mail it to someone and they can crop it down for you.
or you can do it yourself with whatever photo editor is built into windows.

An easy way to do it is simply to open the photo in photoshop or whatever software you have and change the image size to 100X100 or less.
