Aneurysms and AAS USAGE

"Trevor Smith was just 33 years of age when he passed away on March 6, 2004. According to the September 2004 issue of MUSCLEMAG International, Smith, owner of Nuclear Nutrition, weighed 300 pounds when he died of a brain aneurysm and was found at his home five days later. Reports say he used massive amounts of anabolic steroids as well as Synthol, a product manufactured by his company. According to friends, at one time he weighed almost 400 pounds but never felt he was big enough or strong enough. (Does that sound familiar to some of you?)"

I pulled that off of athletes against steroids page (lol). After reading extensively on this subject, I noticed that the ones who died were massive people 300+ pounds etc, plus, like the above story, used synthol. My question is if a person uses under 1 1/2 grams a week of steroids (for instance test/eq/winny - or whatever) as long as your bp is in check (low) (or medium) will the chances of an aneurysm or heart attack etc, be minimilized?

Every story on that website are those of the extreme aas user. All were pro's, some were teens (which we all know shouldn't use steroids anyhow). Most abused their steroids in massive amounts. I know that by the title of this webpage that it is slanted already against steroids and their users, but like I asked earlier, if we check our bp, cholesterol, etc, stay within reasonable amounts, are there any real dangers to using?

"Are there any real dangers to using?" This is a question that has sparked a lot of debate over the last ten years (maybe even more). There is no doubt, many people used steroids safely into their old age. Some people also smoke a pack a day and never get lung cancer. I will say this, Giambi got a pituitary tumor, a result of steroids/GH very possible. Arnold has pig valves in his heart now, a result of steroids? possibly, there is no way to tell for sure what effects drugs will have on your body because everyone is different. Why can some people uses test with no gyno and others hear the word and they get puffy. I think genetics has a lot to do with it, and you can't just say yes steroids are dangerous for everyone, or no they are certainly safe for everyone to use. The answer is we do what we do and we know the risk involved. If you're not willing to accept the consequences than for god sake do not start roiding, b/c the last thing we need is another naive kid saying "Steroids ruined my life."

I definitely agree with the above quote. I understand the risk and if something terrible happens to me, then I fully blame myself, and no one else..I never take roids to the extreme so hopefully nothing major will happen to me - long term. But I do agree, it's all up to the genetics...

As long as bp is kept in check u should be fine. The high bp makes the heart work extra hard and eventually it will take its toll. Also, keep an eye on cholesterol. My liver and kidneys have never been the problem.
