Androgel vs clomid

Would it give similar results if i used androgel 5% for 4 weeks instead of clomid?

2 different compounds. androgel simply supplies test to the system in low dose so you have something while your bodys HPTA recovers, it doesnt actually speed recovery. Clomid blocks the ER fooling the body into thinking test production is low, which after cycle it is low so in a sense it is a bit redundant, works wonders for some, not so great for others.

Zigymail,i have low test levels and my doc told me to use androgel and it helped me dramatically.I just finished a 2 week cycle of prop and winny and i was hoping this would be sufficient.The last time i used clomid i had very bad anxiety issues.Would you still use clomid which by the way is close to two years old? Thanks

Androgel helped dramatically in what sense? It will ease the transition because it replaces test while your bodies natural production is getting going again, but I dont think it will actually aid in recovery itself, just make the period of recovery more tolerable. Anxiety issues with clomid vary greatly from person to person only way to know how it affects you is to rty it. Im not sure on the longevity of clomid to be honest but usually these things just lose their effectiveness as they get past a certain age.

If your test supplements are cut off your levels drop which can cause anxiety, depression, unit your own levels increase.

If your doc is recommending androgel, then why not use it? Most docs are reluctant to prescribe it, so obviously you need it.

Clomid...phfft. The mechanism in which it's "supposed" to work doesn't even make sense. Why would the body produce more T in the absence of estrogen? It causes a host of negitive side effects for a lot of people and as you found out for yourself, anxiety is one of them. Stay clear. The egitive sides of Clomid are NOT from suppressed T. They're from the clomid. Go on the gel. You'll be glad you did. But expect to stay on. As Zyg mentioned, it doesn't aid in recovery.

This is ignorant. Clomid binds to the estrogen receptors on the hypothalamus and causes the hypo to release LHRH. That goes to the pituitary and causes LH release. That stimulates the Leydig cells to produce testosterone.
