Actually I have been working out for a while, which is kinda bad because I have never really gone over 160lbs. I guess Im not eating properly and I dont put on muscle mass consistently. So maybe I should focus on training and dieting first.

and that is OKAY. i did not work out seriously or eat the best when i was younger. once i got older I wanted to take things to another level so i became obsessed with the gym going almost everyday and killing it.. and my diet i am very strong with. so good things started happening.

why not post up your diet and workouts on the diet and weightlifting sections and let some of the vets/mods give you some ideas and pointers.

one thing I can tell you right now that I know you need to work on is your leg work isn't adequate. and you aren't doing enough COMPOUND lifts. meaning bench, squats, deads, militaries, inclines, dips, pullups. compound lifts are what separate the men from the boys.. you will notice skinny dudes standing in front of the mirror for 30 minutes doing curls.. they lift small to stay small.

if you want to build muscle mass gotta lift big to get big.

Lol, your right, I dont do legs, maybe once a month, and everyone tells me I need to do squats and lunges. That is an easy fix, which will give me much better results.

Im not doing enough compound workouts, or heavy weight with compound workouts. And it all comes down to not eating enough to fuel my workouts and being lazy.

"you gotta lift big to get big" it seems so simple, but its so true.

Im definitley going to read some posts the diet and weightlifting sections, and then post, hopefully get some great pointers.

Thanks for the advice.

Its SO nice having someone new on here listen and fess up to what is doing wrong. You will make huge gains with some diet tweeks and doing squats and deadlifts. Get your form down first!

Deadlifts are the key to buislding muscle, followed closely by squats.

When i do deadlifts, after about 5 reps of a decent weight, i am sweating like a pig! That's because it's such a powerful compound lift. 3 sets of 9 reps and i'm dead.
