Anavar with Finasteride

So do you need to compensate with more than the usual dosage of anavar when on propecia?

I dropped the propecia on an earlier anavar/sust cycle and lost what seems like millions of hairs! I was told it would block the dht derivative nature of anavar, but on cycle someone told me to up the dosage of the var and get back on the propecia. Unfortunately that was late in the cycle, but I did notice that the gains were still coming after addin the propecia back in.

I also had someone tell me to up the propecia dosage to 2mg/day while on anavar to keep my hair.

Sound like it's kind of a balancing act.

Another thought I had though was that the finasteride basically blocks the dht to scalp and not to the rest of your body so it really has no bearing on var dosage.

"The dutasteride/finasteride should not negate the effects of anavar. Remember 5-AR inhibitors just prevents testesterone from aromatizing into DHT, but when a compound is a DHT derivative, meaning that the compound has basically already aromatized into DHT, then finasteride's chemical interaction is rendered completely ineffective. With testesterone, which would be the TEST E in your case, 5-AR inhibitors will definately play a role in negating these compounds anabolic/androgenic effects. Remember the process of aromatization, i.e. when test basically breaks down into estrogen and DHT, is an important process in building strength and size. Both DHT and estrogen play an intrinsic role when it comes to muscle building and development. BUT if you are using finasteride/dutasteride you are effectively blocking the test from aromatizing into DHT, and therefore you are missing out on the anabolic and androgenic effects that DHT brings to the table....
So back to ur original question the dutasteride should have no effect on the VAR but Should effect the gains derived off the TEST E. BTW u sud really check the quality of the var as i get EXTREMELY favourable results from the compound by running at 30mg/day."
