Hi everyone new to the site, my wife was thinking of starting her first cycle of anavar 10 mg for a show but we want to also start trying to have kids after shes done with the cycle and I've read on a few sites that anavar can cause birth defects how long should we wait to start trying to get pregnant after she's done with the cycle.

Thanks

I'd also like to know the answer.

I think it'll be tough enough for us to have a baby since I'm juiced to the gills but if she is on a little somethign that might be the nails in the coffin. We definitely want children in a few years.

I don't really know the answer to this one!! with var in particular. I would think the time on = time off rule would apply. I've never heard of var causing birth defects but then again, haven't researched it either, since those days are passed for me. I guess if you want to be absolutely sure, you just don't use it at all. The one thing I would never mix is GH and pregnancy.

P.S. Welcome to the site!! :)

This medication must not be used during pregnancy. It may harm an unborn baby. Consult your doctor for more details and to discuss reliable forms of birth control. It is recommended that women using this medication use 2 effective forms of birth control (such as condoms and birth control pills) while taking this medication. Consult your doctor.

If you are even thinking about having a baby I think it is time to sit down with your doctor and discuss what both of you are taking. Most doctor's will have an "off the record" conversation if you ask. It would be highly irresponsible to not consult with a physician. You can't risk it.

thanks everyone for your responses I will definitely sit down with my wife and talk about it before she starts anything, thanks again

The fact that you seem to have doubts should answer the question. I would have babies first, then revisit whether you want to try anavar.
