anastrozole vs letrozole

I've been completly off aas for 3 or so years now. i THINK i might be getting gyno!?!? my nips aren't puffy but i can feel a lump behind my right nipple and its almost always sore until i rub it for a while. I remember when i was going through puberty i had the same thing and ignored it and it eventually went away until now so i'm not quite sure if its steroid related. has anyone ran either of these by themselves and is it harmful. I remember reading a article saying you shouldn't because it fucks with your cholesterol and can possibly shut you down but i can't remember which one it was talking about. I appreciate any help/info!!!!

as i understand it....it should be letrozole u should take for that, the best thing.

that was a interesting read!! .5mg eod would suffice and/or i can tweak it until i notice it's effect!? i still want to know other peoples experiences with both.

Im currently using letro..going through the same thing u are but I changed the dose to 3.75mg for the first 7days then ill back off to about 2.5mg..the reasoning is because in everything Ive read it seems that at 2.5mg/day it'll take about 60days to build up blood plasma levels till you see effects in order to get rid of existing gyno. You can probably start off with a higher dose but I figured y push it..Since letro takes awhile to build up in the blood, my question is..would it be worth while for individuals who are prone to gyno to almost "front load" letro before getting into their main cycle if thier using tren or deca ect?????

I got rid of lumps that I'd had for 3 years by taking 2.5mg/day of letrozole for 4 weeks. My libido was so wiped out that it annoyed me if my wife laid her hands anywhere on my body.

Many men (me included) experience an estrogen rebound when coming off of letrozole. So after the lumps are gone, you either have to taper the letrozole dosage down slowly or take 20mg/day of nolvadex for 3 weeks to prevent the lumps from coming back.

the sexual sides are because it can completely wipe out Estrogen <if overdone> which is neccessary for upstream sexual functioning

seems like almost every article i read on the two another article/study contradicts it. it also seems like the majority of the people replying to the threads i've seen don't know what the fuck their talking about. I'll try to find the thread i read but it said taking 2.5mg ed or eod was key and then a few replies said that can really fuck you up and possibly kill you (they were hopefully refering to libido problems though) that's why i asked for personal feedback.

i gather my information and learn a shit load from this site alone. because of all of you. thats why i tend to get sketchy when i read contradicting things on other boards. thanx for the replies!!!

The only thing I can say is that im going through something similiar to you..So i stated what im trying and ill let you know the results..but your right, your own research coupled with others experience should result in a decision thats best for you

BTW heres some more infor on anastrozole::

Anastrozole (Arimidex®) is the aromatase inhibitor of choice. The drug is appropriately used when using substantial amounts of aromatizing steroids, or when one is prone to gynecomastia and using moderate amounts of such steroids. Arimidex does not have the side effects of aminoglutethimide (Cytadren®) and can achieve a high degree of estrogen blockade, much moreso than Cytadren®. It is possible to reduce estrogen too much with Arimidex, and for this reason blood tests, or less preferably salivary tests, should be taken after the first week of use to determine if the dosing is correct.

As an aromatase inhibitor, Arimidex's mechanism of action -- blocking conversion of aromatizable steroids to estrogen -- is in contrast to the mechanism of action of anti-estrogens such as clomiphene (Clomid®) or tamoxifen (Nolvadex®), which block estrogen receptors in some tissues, and activate estrogen receptors in others. During a cycle, if using Arimidex, there is generally no need to use Clomid as well, but (as mentioned in the section on Clomid) there may still be benefits to doing so.

I tapered up to 2.5 over the first week, ran it for 4 weeks at 2.5, and now starting to taper back down. It worked wonders for me. I did however lose every ounce of sex drive, as stated about. I am hoping it comes back rather quickly after I come off.

after 3 years i may want to see an endo--something may be supressing your test levels--and many causes are no to be screwed with
