Anabolic Screening

I don't use anabolic steroids of any type, but am seriously considering it. My one hang-up is that I plan on joining the military. I know nothing about screening for anabolic steroids. Does anyone know if it will show up in a standard drug screening, or if the military will even disqualify my for it? I asked the army if anabolic steroids are a disqualifying drug but they won't answer me correctly.

They have to be looking for the specific substance in order to find it, unless they search for anabolics specifically they won't be able to find it. It is rare for them to test for steroids in the military but not unheard of.

From what I've read and heard on the subject, you will only be tested for them if you are caught with juice while on-base.. If you know anyone currently in the military you should ask them..
