An Open Letter to John Kerry

Anytime anybody is running for a job, they ask you your previous qualifications and job experience.

If the job is mopping, it helps if you've mopped.

Likewise, if the job is commander in chief, I'd like the candidate to have led troops in battle.

This isn't complicated.

So you voted for Dole over Clinton in 1996 then? And Bush over Clinton in 1992?

Whatever your voting record, your analogy is incorrect. The commander in chief is not the top tactical leader of troops in war. The commander in chief is so titled because it allows for a statesman, rather than a military officer, to control the armed forces.

The commanding general does not get tactical or warfighting advice from the President. The President only provides general policy guidelines and directives.

Thus, the experience of a low level military leader (I was one, for what it;s worth) is of no relevance to the job of statesman / diplomat.

Your argument is equally valid as saying "I want a commander in chief who never served in the military, because he won't feel emotional attachments to the troops he has to send off to war".

You're just a not-so-well-concealed Democrat party line voter.

He really would be a shitty President. Please don't vote for him.

1) You were not openly opposed to Kerry until his Edwards selection was made. Though free to support whomever, it would be more honest to state the real reason for your current vehemency.

2) He may be a less than desirable President for certain people. As opposed to a proven absolute, indefatigable,(sp) abomination of an unpararalled global catastrophe.....he is an easy choice. :)

Unless of course you simply want to destroy the friggin Muslims amongst other objectives.

Vote for Bush:

Solidify the onset of the police state

Solidify the hatred of the American culture and no longer be free to vacation as you please since international tourists are now specifying that no Americans be around to co-mingle twith them.

Sink our children further into an abyss of debt so that Matt can enjoy lower taxes for four more years.

Usher in more depressions as terrorism continues to be used as a tool to accomplish overseas financial objectives. Scared people do not invest.

Give more money to mega-conglomerates so that they can ship more jobs over to Wang and Habib Inc.

Thats just a start....I've posted a hundred dire things wrong with the direction the skippers of this ship are taking. A few hundred times.

While I think the idea of Edwards as VP is an awful choice, I have grown to dislike Kerry more and more as he made this Viet Nam situation the centerpiece of his campaign. The more I see, the less I like.

I agree! I just don't know who you are talking about.

Unless of course you simply want to destroy the friggin Muslims amongst other objectives.

Only want to destroy the ones who fly planes into buildings and commit other terrorist acts.

Solidify the onset of the police state

As opposed to the welfare state of the Senate's most liberal member? A prison is a prison, there is no ultimate difference.

There are no Constitutional protections outside the US, Broseph. There never were.

Sink our children further into an abyss of debt so that Matt can enjoy lower taxes for four more years.

the way out of the abyss is less spending, not more tax. Neither party has come out for that.

Usher in more depressions as terrorism continues to be used as a tool to accomplish overseas financial objectives. Scared people do not invest.

Unfounded, home slice. Economy is not doing horribly.

Give more money to mega-conglomerates so that they can ship more jobs over to Wang and Habib Inc.

That's the work of the free market in response to the contraints that a liberal's approach to regulation have ushered in.

Only people getting outrageous money from the US government is the elderly, sir. Over $1 trillion goes to them year after year. In fact, Congress only controls about 4% of the budget from year to year; the remainder is in fixed entitlement programs.

[/QUOTE]The economy is putrid in Denver and home values are in decline recently. Denver is mymain concern for obvius reasons. If things are rocking in Jacksonville then good for you.

I think you know I was adressing Bush there but the dodge was almost comedic.

If you want to go after the ereal terrorists then look into Saudi Arabia. Good luck with that since that is the breadbasket of the Bushbarian financial empire. :)

These guys have crushed all records for unsceduled spending. While the neo-cons while try to justify it, they will ignore the fact that breathtaking amounts are going into Bush, Cheney, Halliburton, Bechtel pockets to name a few. The Carlyle/Bush/Baker trio realized about $370 million the day they went public with either A1Abrams tank or Humvee stock. Coincidence?

The economy would look pretty damned bad if they were not giving money away for refinancing etc.

Home values will decline as interest rates rise, or the threat of a rise looms.

Thanks! :) So was the description.

There's some truth in those words.

That is appropriated by both parties anyway; it is not as if the President can go on an imperial spending spree. Both are pigs at the trough.

The economy would look pretty damned bad if they were not giving money away for refinancing etc.

I'll agree with you there, just as long as you agree that this is needed when the government gets so intertwined with the private sector.

If two parties are bad, consider what one party would do. :worried:

Pretty close to what has transpired the past couple years.......an imperial spending spree.

Imperial spending spree..............nice catchy phrase. Did you invent it?

Actually I did, though in another context. Thanks. :)
