Hold it in one hand and pup of the top with your thumb. Some people like to put a pen cap on the top and use that to pop it off.

Put a knife to it. Put a towel over it. Snap it off with your thumb. If the amp cracks all to hell it means you did it wrong. It should come off smoothly

actually u can score it with a razor knife, run it 360 degrees around the neck a few times, and if you are real good you can flick it with your finger and that shizzel just pops off.................

The knife, scissors, file carves a groove around the neck - the narrow part - there will be a line there. That line is where you want it to break.

take a bic pen cap.....put it on the top and lower it to the base of the skinny part of the amp right at the point where i wides out again

hold the base firmly and push with thumb and it will snap off perfectly every time

no need to open them!! the needle will pierce the glass like a balloon! just remember to switch needles for injection

Scoring it a bit more can be of help. I didn't notice it in case if you mentioned, but if it is prescored that is a big help to just snapping the top off.
