AMINO ACIDS which do you use?

A few years back I used to take Arginine and Ornithine in a 2:1 ratio for increased GH, etc...Dunno if it helped, but it was pretty in vogue back then.

Uhh.........dude those horse pills are terrible for you. They burn holes in your vital organs. If I were you, or your mommy, I would get off of those. Personally I just use powder Optimum Vanilla Ice Cream:D

Seriously even the people who work at GNC turn customers away from that shit.

why not just some protein powder. the only amino worth using alone is tryptophan, and if you can find a source of that give me an email brotha.

I take the powdered blends; the ones that contain EVERY SINGLE amino in an easy-to-digest form. I suggest isopure; they make a great chocolate flavor.....

:D

You might want to read the most useless supplements thread. You can better spend you money than on that stuff.

Agreed.. I buy a Pound or 2 of each protein and Mix them..

Whey Isolate
Egg
Soy
Cassien

Add to that lots of Chicken Breast, Tuna and a little Lean red meat and your set IMO...

Stick with Proteins that are high in BCAA's and Glutamine. Most formulations will tell you that the protein is "enriched" with both....be careful, you never know what you are getting.

Try Isolean by Scitec....it is loaded with 15g of BCAA's and 14g of Glutamine. It is the only protein/MRP that I have seen that actually tells you the exact amount of amino's per serving.

you dont need to take those horse pills.

your protein shake should contain enough aminos, vitamins... as long you buy a quality product.

i used to take the horse pill aminos till i read that post about it burning a hole in your stomach then i stopped. Now i use BCAA's if i can't get my hands on something to eat or no protein around.

I take 3,000 mgs of L-tyrosine and 400 mgs. of Magnesium 30 minutes prior to working out and it is the best ( and cheapest ) pre workout stimulant I've taken, also it's probably the healthiest, since I've tried ephedra products and they can be scary .:D

Rancid,
I LOVE tyrosine, but what does the magnesium do to help??????I also find a 2:1 ratio of BCAA's to Glutamine in my workout drink significantly reduces soreness (same as product Glutacene only MUCH cheaper). DMAE also works synergistically with the tyro.

tyrosine worked the first few times i used it prework out and never worked again. Now i use glutamine peptides, ALA throughout the day, and i have the most intense pumps i feel like i can't even pick up the weight b/c the pumps hurt so much.

Mattejo, I know that when I add the magnesium to the mix it allows me to lift more weight, I don't know if this is psychological or what (placebo maybe) but it does the job for me, try it and see what happens, not too much of an investment to find out anyway.
