Americans don't care about a sport unless they are best at it

I'm amazed at how narrow minded you are and how eager you are to say how great something is without knowing anything about the alternatives. Congratulations. You are one person who fits the worldwide stereotype of americans.

never heard of a high school having a rugby team, and colleges only have club type teams

meh, this is turning into a pissy contest that is circular
you like rugby i like football
the same sentiment you express towards me can be turned on you, you are claiming how superior rugby is without aknowledging the skill of NFL
there is a worldwide sterotype of brits as well, but meh,

Fair enough...but it's not just Europe though...just striking that America doesn't care about global sports.
the distance between us proly figures into it.
and we definetly have global sporting interests
tour de france
hockey
olympic sports
it's a diverse country with a lotta interests

You of course assume that I have only been exposed to rugby. This is not the case so you can not level the same criticism at me. That is what I mean. How can you make a sound judgement based on one sided information? You can't.

At what point did I say they were not skillful? I have not. Again you are making assumptions.

Yes there is a stereotype for brits. As with all stereotypes it is a load of garbage. However, you seem to be fitting the negative stereotype the world has of americans remarkably well. Thats a shame but I'm glad to say that the vast majority of people here blow the stereotype out of the water.

Anyway, I'm off this thread as I make a point of not getting into extended arguments with people who can't even draw balanced judgements.

i really don't see your arugement, other than an attempt to claim superoity

Yeah........but the sport is still called cricket.....I'm not sure we're ready to turn in our man cards for wannabe game of baseball.

Two way different sports and cricket has a far far far bigger audience than baseball ever could.

And not to you but to those who called cricket gay because it's not played in America?

I don't particularly like it, find it way too boring but:

Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, India, Jamaica, West Indies, Pakistan....

All nations must be gay....

I didn't watch a single minute of the olympic games. The only sport I follow with any diligence is MMA. I watch the occasional football game, American style, and that's primarily because I competed when I was young. I also wrestled as a youth and that's probably a reason I enjoy MMA. Americans don't like soccer because it's boring as hell.....if we thought it was a great sport we would compete at a very high level.

iffin' it ain't beeeeezin' American it ain't worth shiot persuing.

i'm amazed at your arrogance and cockyness for claiming that you've been hit by 275lbers and it was no big deal
ray lewis hits you your not getting out of the hospital for a few weeks.
and furthermore your ignorance is represented beatifully by assuming that footballers can't hack rugby, the turn to football cause that's all they are capable of
congratulations
