ambien vs. lunesta

Basically the same thing.

Lunesta basically did a study to get it approved for long term use unlike ambien. Ambien will soon be approved for longer use also.

Its all about marketing and whos paying ur doc the most to prescribe what. Sad but true.lol

My doc was gonna give me some trazadone to help me sleep also, but i didnt really feel like being on another anti depressant as it is im on lexapro now. No sexual sides with the lexapro like the effexor i was taking.

Anyone else have experiences with trazadone?

I was on a script of trazadone or kolonopin? for about 4 months.. My dad became very ill and I just started a new job living about 1500miles away from my parents. I am an only child so i had to try and take care of my mom and sick father at the same time. My doc prescribed the meds even though I am usually the most laid back carefree guy out there. They worked well but are very addicting. I stopped cold turkey because I found better ways to deal with my stress but I went through some horrible withdrawles. Galaxy, if its for sleep I would stay with ambien, the worst sides are a stuffy nose and occasional headaches.. Benzos are a bad idea to use for sleep....

Gotta go with Juiced on this one....

im on traz, ambien and lunesta right now. i have such bad insomnia that i get scripts for all 3. traz has the lowest amount of sides of all antidepressants and the sedating effects can help with sleep. as far as ambien, it puts me to sleep fast and then i wake up only after a few hours and cant get back to sleep. lunesta lets me sleep longer

lunesta and ambien about the same, but lunesta gave me a horrible taste in my mouth , so im on ambien now

Yeah I think the work about the same. I also got the horrible taste in my mouth from lun. Also the reason I went back to Ambien is one of the possible sides of Lun is Gyno. I take enough gyno risks, that's not woth it to me.

you guys that take sleep meds, how often do you take them? just curious because i know when i take them one night and the next night i try not to, i cant sleep that next night. i usually have to go through the whole bottle and run out of it and ten go through like 3 days of insomnia before im back to sleeping again.

I was on traz 50 mg every night for about 3 years. I found it addicting as hell and if I went somewhere and forgot my traz, I couldn't sleep. I quit cold turkey with some withdrawls, but sleep much better now without anything. Just lay there and eventually you will fall asleep if you relax. It's better than getting hooked on some shit.

I remeber one time i was prescribed ambien for sleep i took two pills and i started hallucinating so bad it was crazy.... anyone else had that happen to them?
