Europeans have strong backs because they train hard for it, you yanks love benching, that's why produce big benchers, Europeans like to deadlift big and they train hard for it.
I don't personally buy into this westside theory of not deadlifting, westside produce big squatters and benchers but I don't see many pulling big.
Westside more or less group together a lot of Russian theories. The Russians do train similar to westisde with speed and max effort days, but they always have some sort of training for the pull. The Russian and Ukrainians always produce top class 3 lift lifters, they don't have a week lift.
I'm doing well thanks Chambewy, what you up to??
I have the BPC British (Our nationals), same rules with kit as the WPC etc. on the 17th June, I then compete at the EPF Europeans which I have been talked into 6 days later, which is single ply equipment. I then have a long break, time to recover and take some down time, before I start to prepare for the WPC Worlds in Novemeber and a competition I have been asked to do in Las Vegas. I don't know that much about that yet, just that someone has asked for a team of five of us to go over to do a push and pull meet also in November, we just have to committ and they are going to put us up in a hotel and that. So looking forward to that.
I get really beat up after a comp, because I put in 110% and my body feels it. I like to have a week off and then a few weeks of lighter work. June is going to really take it out of me, with two comp so close together, but luckily I have a long rest afterwards.
