AM PM workouts

New member
Just want some feed back on a 3 day on one day off workout routine.

Lifting one body part AM followed by another PM. I plane on useing heavy weight for one body part 4 sets 6/8 rep's and the second body part moderate/light weight 4 set's 15 reps. My goals right now is to drop BF and im 13 weeks in and I have got to a sticking point so im hopeing this routine will shocking my body and start the ball rolling again on my bf reduction.

Many thanks guys, give me some feed back ! sorry wrong its up in the section move if needed !

For me that would be overtraining, maybe try a morning cardio session and then another cardio session after your workout. But it can't hurt to give it a shot and see how you respond. Although I do like the 3 on 1 off protocol.

Yeah, I agree totally..... That's gonna be over training for sure..... When I hit a sticking point in my fat loss, I throw in another cardio session in the day..... So, I'll do 45mins of AM cardio on an empty stomach, then 30mins on the treadmill immediately after lifting weights, then have my postworkout drink..... Works pretty damn well for me, and I'm VERY Endomorphic......

Sometimes when i want to shock the muscles i do the double workout per day provided i'm on AAS (It aids in faster recovery); As for cardio do it at least 3 times a week in the morning on an empty stomach. add ECA as a supplement and you should have a high protein, low carbs and fats diet

Are you on cycle Bigreds? If not then i like your workout. If you are then you aren't training hard enough at all.

Yeah Im on 600 Eq ew and 400 primo ew, what makes you think im not training hard enough ???

As for the split workout I knew a few peeps would feel that its over training but many peope train two bodyparts per session. I have allways opted for one body part per session each day. I know Jay Cutler works with a 3 day on day off split. I plane on my sessions being no more than 45min AM & PM with 30min cardio to end each session. And as I said one lifting session being heavy one moderate/light.

if you look at alot of the top pro's...that are mass monsters...they do split training...if you wanna keep your bodyfat low while dieting and given your bodyfat is already lower than 10% then yeah sure u can do double split training...when i wanna maintain my bodyfat after a diet on a maintenence caloric level, ill do split training 3 times a week and once a day training twice a week...and 2 days off (like thurs/sun)...works great for me...if i wanna stay around 5-6% all the time (do 20-30 mins cardio after each lifting session of 30-45 mins)...and yes im pretty darn endomorpic ive been overweight from age 5-15...with the above protocol its kept me mean n lean =)

I think with your training program it's fine; Any harder you might be overtraining

If you really think about it there is no such thing as overtraning only undereating. Yes a schedule like that could really tax your immune system and hinder your gains, but if you want to change it up to shock the muscles that would do it, although I wouldnt recomend doing that plan for longer than 4 weeks....good luck bro..

Double slpit training is a very effective way to rip up while keeping the need for excessive cardio down.
Ive probably been @ my leanest when I incorporated a double split 2 on 1 off protocol with no cardio. I did that for my first show and came in around 215 PEELED....actually i think it made me too lean and i lost some msucle and was a bit flat. and that was with 0 cardio the entire prep.

exactly...overtraining is just something ppl do when they dont get enough sleep and food...there is no such thing as overtraining really...if you're overtraining, its not due to your training..its due to EVERYTHING ELSE...

theres overtraining and undertraining...undertraining..youll look the same year after year like everyone else in a normal gym...overtraining...well...given your nutrition/sleep is on schedule, you might hit a nice growth spurt...i rather "overtrain" than "undertrain" anyday...
