tonite i totally went off on my parents cutting up all of thier parenting skills
why you ask? because i feel they raised me horribly
i feel they dont care about anything i do(hence buy my booze and let me do drugs)
never ask me hows school,hey do you have any homework
now i need a parental figure in life to push me and i told them that yet they say oh we are good parents,i just cant see it,all my friends parents push them to succeed,yes they get shitty rules but they are going somewhere and i feel im not
does anyone think im in the wrong for expressing these views
and any suggestions of what i could do

Kinda harsh to say all that to your parents, but hey, by holding things in like that for too long you're doing yourself a disservice!!
I do know what you mean though. I would get mad at my dad for pushing me all the damn time. I was always a terrifc student, but when my grades would slip a lil I would be reminded that I am an A student and should not get anything less. He didn't say it mean, he would say it to me very carefully and calmly. Of course, being a stubborn teenager I would get pissed and would think that I was doing enough to please him. I talked to him about this a few weeks ago and he felt terrible!! But it can go both ways. Parents that care too much can either get star students or get kids that resent them!! It really has everything to do with what kind of kid you are. You don't have to feel like you aren't doing anything with your life. Start doing something and you can say, "See? Look what I can do!!" Push yourself sweetie, I am finally doing it for myself
