The good doctors out there will tell their patients to do this exact same thing. Splitting into fifth becomes difficult but quarters are always good.

The coating is for ease of swallowing and a pleasant taste. Proscar doesnt taste all that good raw, as you will find out when you pop one of your split pills.

Your good to go.

i just cut up in halves a shitload of astra zeneca arimidex last night and put it in one of those tiny ziplock drug looking baggies. i think it will be fine, especially since you will be using it in a few months time. keep it zipped up.

I put them inside a small plastic bottle.....is that ok?

same thing.........zip bag, plastic bottle. throw some cotton in there if you want.....to absorb moisture.

The coating is on there in case the pills are handled by a female. Proscar can cause birth defects if a pregant woman handles it. The package insert warns about this. The coating is not there to protect the ingredients:

"Proscar is not indicated for use in children or women. Proscar is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any components of this medication and in women when they are or may potentially be pregnant because it may cause abnormalities to the male baby's sex organs. Women should not handle crushed or broken tablets when they are pregnant or may potentially be pregnant. Tablets of Proscar have a coating that will prevent contact with the active ingredient during normal handling, provided that the tablets have not been broken or crushed."
