Am I going about this the wrong way?

Thanks to my complex about size, I've been at the gym thrice a week since I was 19, and found it incredibly difficult to build muscle. I started shy of 60kg (stick-thin, yeah I'm one of those).

I've heard many times before "eat like a horse and go hard" (whenever I bring up steroids on any forums, I tend to get shot down immediately due to my weight) to build muscle, and this is all good and well but for me I've hit a wall where I seem to gain definition and endurance but little in size. I used to be a cyclist, and trained competitively till i was 22... now my goals have changed but i've hit a wall training. 5 clean meals a day, protein shakes and going as hard as I can seems to all result in minimal gain. Two different personal trainers (at great cost), every kind of workout reigeme you can imagine over a 5 year period... Call me impatient, but after 12 months weight traning with some seriously big guys at the gym, I've actually lost 2 lb... I can sit on my arse, drink 10 beers a night and eat shit and I don't put on a pound either. 10-14% BF since I started cardio in high school.

I've had blood tests done previously (>12 months ago) with results sitting in what was the "low end of normal", however not low enough to justify any kind of med-prescribed HRT.. Had a second opinion, with the same result. Doctors over here don't like prescribing any kind of hormones to the under-50's it appears. I guess not the kinda thing you want to be on long-term in your mid-20s anyhow. The joy of genetics...

Since I have started traning a new gym after I relocated, my 230lb "training buddy" comes out and says "why are you here". Which I couldn't really answer any more... I want to build muscle, but I can't seem to. If I just wanted to be healthy, I'd stick to the cardio and do a couple of light gym sessions a week I spose. I have previously turned down steroids, due to my age at the time (21) and while I am not opposed to them, the regulation on them where I am is quite strict and availability low. So my training buddy comes clean with what I already knew, that he has been using for quite some time, and that if I really wanted to do it properly now was the time, before I age a bit and give up on the idea of being big forever.

Fast-forward 4 months, to today, and add four months worth of steroid research, and this is where I am now.

I want to do my first cycle, despite my weight. In my ideal world, I would run:
Test-E Winstrol
1 400 20ED
2 400 20ED
3 400 20ED
4 400
5 400
6 400
7 400
8 400
9 400 20ED
10 400 20ED
11 ---- 20ED

Anti-gyno Whole cycle: 10MG Nolva ED
I have Proviron also, not sure if this is worth taking?

PCT: 40/30/20/20 Nolva ED Weeks 12-15
100/50 Clomid ED Weeks 12-13

well first .. you've probably heard this 10 billion times... get your diet and training in check then RUN ..

250-500mg/Test CYP weekly for 10 weeks

brother there is no need for winstrol as your trying to gain weight not get cut or lean... you need to gain some mass..

as for PCT .. i dont mind that but theres new stuff out such as TRT STACK FROM PP ..

normally i wouldnt reply since your starting off at a really low weight but im convinced that you actually tried everything possible..
or well atleast enough..

hopefully someone more experienced will chime in.. but thats all you get from me :)
 
Thanks for the reply. It's nice not to get flamed out of existance for once! First post at Elite Fitness though, so I'll be sticking around if everyone is as friendly as you =)

I just thought, if I had it sitting around, to throw the winstrol in to kick-start the test & at the end to try support coming off the test until PCT. If not needed, then not needed though :)

To throw it out there, I did had major health issues (that I won't go in to to far, but not ongoing/totally cleared up now, and not anything that would be affected by steroid use) that stunted growth before the age of 10, and probably contribute to my issues now... I'm a good 5 inches shorter than my father, and the same height as my sister! :( Thats life hey!
 
Out of curisoity, do you mind posting your average days food? So we can help you with that aswell as the steroid questions. Might aswell get both spot on if your going to use.
 
a few test only cycles will put the mass on you. Don't use nolvadex everyday use it only when nips itch/hurt and or for pct. instead take 1/8 mg arimadex daily.

Breakfast: 100g high protein cereal or 3-4 eggs and maybe bacon, wholemeal toast, fruit & coffee
mid-morning: protein shake, fruit, can of tuna & biscuits between breakfast & lunch
lunch: 200g meat (chicken, sandwich meat) in a sandwich or with salad and rice
mid-afternoon: maybe a protein shake again, cheese/ham/tuna, some beef jerky or something similar
Dinner: 300-400g meat depending on variety w/salad or veges and rice or pasta

Plus snacks of nuts, fruit, beef jerky, wholemeal biscuits/crackers throughout the day.

Growth hormone issue? If so, that would explain alot.
 
I would do this and you will put on weight

1-10 test e 500mg ew
1-6 dbol 40mg ed
Hcg 500iu e3d week 4-11.5
Adex .25 mg eod when needed

Pct
Nolva 40mg 14 days
Nolva 20mg 14 days

Diet
Whole Meals 4
Protein. 75
Carbs. 100
Fats. 15
(Non workout days eat 5 whole meals and no shakes meals)
Post workout meal
Protein shake 75. pro
Dextrose. 100 carbs

Daily calories
1500 protein
2000 carbs
540. Fats

4040.00 calories total if ya get fat lower carbs 25 per meal. If ya not gaining up carbs.
 
what do you workouts look like?
Hayez has a good plan. If you are on the low end of normal of test then it will be hard to put on a lot of muscle naturally. Not impossible, just harder.
