Guys,
About a month ago I was deadlifting fairly heavy and on one rep leaned forward just a little too much and felt the right side of my back strain. So sore I couldn't unrack the bar or tie my shoes for about two days. Tried deadlifting the next week and it wasn't that it hurt but that I HAD NO LOWER BACK STRENGTH. Just couldn't move the bar - felt paralyzed. Was forced to do partials from knee height. That was the last time that i deadlifted, but I have continued to squat heavy with a belt each week with lower back weakness and soreness the days following.
With that said, I leaned over to pick up my piece of trash in the yard yesterday and when I stood up I wanted to scream. I couldn't walk for the rest of the day as I had pain for my right side lower back down to my right calf. Each step was agony. I also have a hard bump on the right side of my lower back with local pain to the touch. Today I am completely sore and ache, but have an easier time walking. I know I should probably never deadlift again and not sqaut for a while, but is it advisable to train my upper body?
Thanks
