think about it. You haven't died physically but you know you're going to die mentally. like charleston heston, he knew that he (mentally) would be gone in 5-10 years so he said goodbye to his family but hes still alive. its an interesting proposal to say goodbye to your family but to not be dying, just your personality is dying.

This must be one of, if not the hardest disease/syndrome for familly members to deal with.

ah, sorry. i figured i'd rub people the wrong way with my post. BUt the idea of dying mentally instead of physically is intriguing to me for a reason. Youre still there but you are not you anymore. Some peple hold a funeral for the dead relative who is still alive but not the same perosn anymore.

My father has it. He can still function but he's going downhill.
