Alternative operating system bros......

I know a few ef'ers use linux or other alternative OS, what would you reccomend to use for a "bootable" cd os???

easy call - Ubuntu. I've been using it for a year now and I don't really miss much about Windows, which I still use at work. I don't even bother with anti-virus or spyware programs.

is it pretty user friendly??? this is actually for a cousin of mine that isnt very computer savy at all.
