I know for a fact in the Washington DC Area, with a TS clearance, and an MBA, I will make more than most doctors, or lawyers in the area do... with out the MBA, i couldn't pull half of that.

You bring up some very vaild points. Just curious, but what type of business do you own? I could be wrong, but from the sound of it, it seems like you are self-employed rather than a business owner...according to Robert Kiyosaki at least.
Unfortunately, at the company I work for, a degree is a foot in the door and experience is a plus. I work for the CIO and he doesn't have a MBA...yet. I don't see the value in it for him because he has a solid track record and quite the reputation and experience. Basically, most companies just want to know that you can be disciplined enough for long enough to jump through the hoops to get that piece of paper. IMO, once you're "in" your performance means more to them.
Someone wil undoubtedly post that MBAs make more money than non MBAs. It;s as relevant as saying professional athletes make more money than non-professional atheltes.
Education is not power. Knowledge is. and it comes from anywhere.
the idea of going to school to learn about business makes as much sense as using a violin to predct the weather.
Have to agree with you here. I have a business degree and am part way through my MBA. Business is learned by doing business. You just need that piece of paper most of the time, unless you're starting your own company.

All you do with a business degree or MBA is maybe give yourself a little bit of a tryout that some other people might not get as fast.
It is a rat-race accelerator.
I am invovled in mnay businesse sand I never look around and say "I wish we had more MBAs". I do say "I wish we had more people with (blank) skills" though.
