Almost accidentally killed myself in the shower....

If you don't have a bath/shower mat, buy one!

I was getting in the shower today and after I put my first foot in I completely lost my footing. I didn't stand a chance. My feet literally went straight up in the air and I landed directly on the metal rail that the shower doors are attached to.

thankfully I didn't land on my head but I seriously thought I broke my leg or tore part of the muscle of my (small) calve.
I didn't even realize it but my forearm got the worst of it. Badly bruised (almost like internal bleeding) but it doesn't hurt really. My leg hurts a little but I think it's fine. If it was a break or a tear I probably wouldn't be able to put any weight on it or stand on my toes.

Had I landed on my head I think I'd be dead

Needless to say I went to target like an hour later

how would being athletic help you in that situation ? I tried to grab the sliding door and it wasn't sturdy enough to hold me as I was falling.

The tub was just that slippery. I think it was because I was
away for a few days and maybe some
Type of buildup made it more slippery.

I did that here on the ice during the snow week here (it was during super bowl week I'm sure you all remember that, lol) I literally hit the ice in .000000001 seconds it was amazing, right onto the small of my back. but the shower is more dangerous wow, naked, and lots more chances to bang your head on all the stuff surrounding you. glad you're OK

My grandfather on my dads side actually died by slipping in the tub...he went into cardiac arrest after it happened.
He was 83 or 84 but it instantly made me think of that when it happened.

wow. my uncle died choking on a piece of steak in a restaurant. I had a hard time choking down a too big bite a few months ago and really freaked myself out afterwards. I cut the pieces down pretty good now.

couple of weeks ago I was taking a shower and the house alarm went off, I freak out and realized I forgot my towel, so naked & dripping I ran to the room and grabed our bat... then looked at all the rooms, all was fine... I almost slipped a couple of times Im sure my unconscious scared naked ass with a bat looked tough enough to scare an assailant

Scariest thing I ever saw my (soon to be) father in law choking on steak. My (soon to be) brother in law gave him the Heimlich, that steak shot out of his mouth like a fucking bullet across the room. Weird stuff.

that has happened to me more than once with Abby..once at a birthday party. Scariest seconds of my life. Twice it went so long before I could dislodge it that I almost started to panic..but right when I was about to lose it...it came out.
