Allergic reaction to ALA?

Is this normal for ALA?

I'm taking 1500mg/day (starting this past week) and shortly after I consume it, my chest becomes very itchy and irritated with the shirt I would be wearing. Not the nipple area, thoe WHOLE chest area.

I'm on fina/test at the moment, so I thought I'd mention that. The fina started last week but I don't think I have any allergic reaction to that because I've taken fina before without any hassle.

If you are using the regular racemic ALA then it's like the cause. If the itching you are talking about feels more like deep, cactus thorn, prickly type of itching it's the AS. But given that it only happens right after you take the ALA then of course that would be your most likely source of the irritation.
