I remember how hard it was making time while I was in school. Especially those last few years...so many special projects that all seemed to be due at the same time. The protein is definitely a great whey (snicker snicker) to keep your diet in check until you can get back to the gym and start creating a caloric deficit another way.
You seem like a pretty tenacious person to me...I'm sure you'll get back in there in hit it when the time is right.
My gym time started falling apart around November I guess. My grandmother died, and I started finding less and less time to actually make it to the gym. Then finals happened, school came to an end, and I moved back home where I had no gym membership. This past semester I started back up again and didn't do too badly for a while. But I had lost most of my motivation unfortunately, and although I had a supportive coach (kind of), I stopped going. Then things became busy, and I simply never made time. I worked and had classes during the day, and then I had night classes and meetings, and the free time I had, I wanted to actually be free time.
Now that I have moved home for the summer, I once again have no gym membership. While I was in school, I was using the multi-million dollar facility that had been built for student use. It was an awesome place....machine and free weights, various courts, cardio machines, a track, pools, and it was free. lol. They are actually offering paid memberships there this summer for students attending in the fall, so rather than pay per month at my hometown gym, I'm going to shell out the money for a summer membership. I only live an hour away and will be working in there beginning in June anyway. So hopefully, I'll get my act together again.
And you're right, tenacity is something that I have no lack of, so we'll see.
