What do you need to know dude, just ask

If you are asking for the basics of steroids ... overall ... in general ... then you are placing a tall order ... asking a BIG thing. If you are looking for specific information, just ask away, but explaining the basics of steroids on a broad base is very difficult.

In short (very short):

1) Steroids are synthetic hormones
2) They are almost all based the natural male hormone - Testosterone
3) You get 2 main types - Oral and Injectable
4) You can run steroids alone or stack them
5) Stacking is where you use more than one steroid and use it for a specific timeframe.
6) Use of steroids severely affects your body's own hormonal system whenever used.
7) Steroids are advised to be cycled. Cycling steroids means that you have a couple of months where you use steroids and then you have a couple months you don't, before you use again. The couple of months you don't use, is to give your body a chance to recover back to normal (or as close as you can get to it).
8) The most commonly run cycles are:
a) Testosterone Cypionate or Testosterone Enanthate for 10 weeks at a dosage of 350mg/week
b) A stack of: Dianabol at 40mg/day weeks 1-4 and Testosterone Cypionate or Testosterone Enanthate at 400mg/week weeks 1-10

I don't know what more to tell you without getting your head messed up ... so ask away if you need anything more.

Nice.....should be a stickie

Yep that's definitely a nice quick 101 course, good job answering that super vague question Essie.
Vague indeed. Super vague even more so. My answer is like playing 'pin the tail on the donkey' ... trying to figure how to create a VERY small grasp on what AAS are. :D

how bout spending more than 2 minutes doing a little research.... lazy fucking kids

I agree, though, there is another thing I have noticed over the last 3 years or so and I am not sure if it is only laziness, though.

I have noticed indications that people seem to not know how to do research anymore. From the questions I read on here, sure, lots are laziness, but a fair % of them is not. I see a lot of guys who start to research and they encounter information by the loads, but they get lost in all the terminology too easily. They read words and then get to broader explanations and get all confused, instead of breaking it into sections and sussing where to start and where to work towards.

It seems that the 'skill' to research properly is not being developed anymore?

Something I should've added as point nr.9&10 perhaps ...
9) All steroid cycles should be accompanied by AIs (Aromatase Inhibitors) to assist in preventing unwanted symptoms of which Gyno (aka bitch tits) is probably the worst one.
10) Every cycle should be followed by PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) to assist your body during you 'time off' period to stabilize.

probably because too many people have low fitness IQ's. so they don't know how to process the information they are getting.

it would be like me spending the day working at a clothing shop, I would be overwhelmed

There is a lot to know, for sure - but there is so much information out there that there is really no excuse. I read, thought, and talked to people for a whole year before my first injection and I am no idiot.

Unfortunately there is lots of conflicting and out dated information that you have to wade through, and clarifying or getting it sorted in your head is one of the advantages of this place - but its no substitute for your own research.

Its like weight training, you have to put in the time to earn the results.
