Alcoholism is not a gender specific disease, there are both male and female participants at meetings. The more important issue is recognizing a problem and dealing with it. But if socializing is important to you, yes most chapters usually have a dance or some sort of social function once or twice a month....hope you like coffee....that is what is at the 'bar'.pist said:has anyone ever been to a meeting or had any experience with this? are there hot chicks there, or any chicks at all? seriously, im considering giving this a try as my drinking has gotten in the way of things i want to do lately
I dont drink at all, it was a life choice, no alcohol, no drugs (except AAS of course) i dont take any of the so-called party or recreational drugs most kids use today, my demon was the booze and one day i decided that i would give it up whilst it was still my own idea, lol.Bunyip said:6 years off the Booze now , I went to AA 2 times as where Im from the AA is few and far between , you will only give up once you accept it yourself and do it yourself for yourself and only yourself , I dont feel we all need AA its just do it !!!!!!! be strong and then about the chiks well that will come alot easier when you kick the booze,, try dancing leasons for chiks good pickup place and no booze .
good luck
