Alcohol

I know alcohol (beer) will throw you out of ketosis but what if it were used on your refeed day?
Drinking is a big part of my weekend life and I'd hate to give it up for too long.

Any ideas of how I can work maybe one drinking night into my life once every 1-2 weeks.

drink vodka + diet coke...

actually, fuck drinking... if you're serious about gains/dieting, just don't do it... and i used to be a hardcore drinker, but haven't touched a beer in three months and haven't missed it...

I recently gave up drinking and I'm not missing it one bit. It was a big part of my social life, but once you realise how mindless and pointless it is, its not so bad to go without afterall... You can have a good time without alcohol, and your body will really appreciate it...
 
First if you want to be a body builder give up all recreational drugs and drinking for life.

Second if you are going to drink please do not drink vodka and diet coke, either drink straight vodka, Scotch or bourbon certainly not beer or wine. Wine is for women and beer is for baseball and football games.

What is happening to you kids, vodka and diet coke? Would you go sailing of the coast of California with the guys and drink vodka and diet coke smoking a tiparillo? After a board meeting or closing a billion dollar deal would you go to the four seasons with your customer and order a vodka and diet coke?

Can’t you simply sit with the guys and enjoy a good Scotch for the Scotch itself?

Give up beer completely.

If you have to drink, drink liquor of some sort with water or with some sort of diet drink. The reason being for liquor is that your body digests liquor as a toxin and not as some sort of nutrient that the body needs. And in order to keep the cals and everything off you can drink a diet drink because they do not contain any fat/carbs/prot in any of them.

Personally I prefer:

Scotch (Glen Levette) and water
Diet 7up with either Segrem 7 or Canadian Mist

But I think that you get the idea.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this. I've heard that drinking can lower your testosterone for 72 hours. Does that mean If i had 1 drink or 12 then it is lowered for 72 hours no matter what. that doesnt make much sense to me does anyone know the answer. I've been avoidng drinking at all costs but I was wondering if 1 or 2 beers would really lower my test for 72 hours.
