i've heard alcohol interferes with your body's ability to use protein, but how much alcohol? i mean if i have a beer or two tonite should i not take my protein shake before bed since it will be wasted or not? any insight would be appreciated, thanks
Alcohol will have no effect on protein absorption. The problem with alcohol, is that it is estrogenic and lowers testosterone levels. It does not effect the absorption/neutralization of food. Think about it. People often have a beer or glass of wine with dinner. Does that mean the meal isn't absorbed? Of course not.
