I got some ALCAR, taurine and l-tyrosine a long time ago (big bulk powders) and when I use them I take roughly 2-3g of each per workout (I scoop the powders in my preworkout shake - I had to cap the ALCAR - tastes like s*it). It gets me jacked and I notice I sweat my ass off too.
ALCAR is also a potent nootropic and when I first started using it I would be on edge (overstimulated) even an hour after I worked out. Now 3-4 700mg caps do me fine but my mind is still elevated for a while after. I can definitley notice the difference.
Also, ALCAR is good taken in the morning. I have cut down the dose for my morning intake to around 400mg and it is just right to get the mind kick started.
I would start small and ramp it up until you hit a dose that works for you.
