I have been reading a lot about ALA so I tried it 3 weeks ago. I bought the 50g of powder from beyond a century and have been taking roughly 1000-1300mg per day, split between 5 meals. I usually mix the ALA in with my protein shakes and I take it before my meal.
The Results:
I am 5'11" and 170lbs. I lost no weight (for real), but my body fat percentage dropped from about 10-11% to about 7-8%. I could barely see my abs before I started and now they are well defined. In addition, my pumps in the gym were crazy and I made modest strength gains over the 3 weeks.
I changed nothing with my diet and/or workout routine. I also did not experience any side effects beside very pungent smelling urine (no worse than smellin shit)
I just wanted to share my results and say that ALA has been one of the most impressive supplements I have ever taken.
One question? Do you think I should lay off the ALA for a while and cycle it, or keep on taking it and up the dosage to about 2000mg a day? any suggestions?? I would also like to hear if anyone else experience similar results.
