ALA and the PUMP

I have been hearing a lot of dudes talking about what awesome
pumps they are getting while on ALA. My question is are they
taking in ALA with a Pre-workout meal?..or is it just the large dose
presence in the bloodstream? I too want to expierience this
"Pump" but I usually do NOT take in a pre-workout meal. Maybe
a protien shake about an hour and 1/2 before my workout.

If you are taking 3000 mgs per day, then to get it all in you need to take it pre and post workout, along with 3 or 4 other times during the day.

It depends on what mg ALA caps I have.

I eat 6 meals and usually take 500 before each meal.

If I miss a dose I double up.

I usually eat an hour before workout and within 30 minutes after my workout.

I am curious too about these pumps, I'm taking a gram a day and haven't felt any difference in pumps, is 3g's neccessary to experience this pump? I thought I'd read big people taking 1.5g feeling it so I figure I should probably feel it around 1g as I am only 150lb.
 
Naut- I too have the 500mg's and eat 6 meals a day. The only
problem is, at least two of those meals are just protien shakes
made with water.....and ZERO carbs. What then?

Of course carbs will help the ALA pumps, but we have to remember that carbs are the best veichle to use for a pump in the first place. (besides slin or steroids) I have a feeling that the freaky pumps that people are getting, are contected more so to carb consumption then the ala. Don't get me wrong, I love the stuff and take 750mgs every day. I to follow a low carb diet so that's why I take ALA. If I don't take it a start to get a little flat while low carbing. So gUiLe ... I would say that it will still be very worth it to take ALA even if your carbs are low. Plus the ALA brings your blood sugar level down. So while low carbing, will aid fat loss even more.
