AIFM rash ... ?

curious ... how long does it take for the rash some people develop from AIFM to subside after discontinued usage? bro of mine was rotating sites etc, and 1 am 1 pm, 2 weeks then boom, overnight small red dots and itching covering wrists, forearms, quad/hip flexor, and nips (would rub excess from other sprays on). it look like he stepped on a bee-hive, any help bros is appreciated, thx

Tell him not to hit those sites anymore until the rash is totally gone. Also, tell him not to itch it. When I itched all the tiny blisters on my foot, my skin literally peeled off, and my foot was disgusting and oozing for a good month after that.

yeah ... i think he itched them in his sleep last night. Unreal, not a thing then within aperiod of 6 hours just covered to shit. This seems to be the only downside to this product thus far.

allergic reaction is a definite possibility. wasn't he going to stop after getting the rash before?

since he has been applying spaced out they should resolve quicker (as opposed to if it had been a single site with med-high dosing).

he is either allergic or ultra sensitive to the irritant properties of the aromatase inhibitor.

he is just going to have to stick with other AI's, though they can also cause allergic reactions. Some people break out in hives and itch all over when taking dex (since its more widely used reactions- which are not super common- are still more prevalent).

yeah macro ... he got blisters on his feet. hopefully he doesnt get blisters on his arms/chest etc cuz that would be downright uncomfortable. But yeah, hes only on proviron now, and will be clean and clear of AIs within the next few weeks. Just being super cautiouswith regards to a rebound from nolva and letro stoppage to avoid gyno getting anyworse. ill keep you posted. thx

Yep I had the original formula and i was fine for prob 4 weeks, then all of a sudden, red bumps and itching. On all the sites I was trying. Tried 2 more sites and same result, so I'm waiting for the new formula to show up. Hopefully that'll be better! I have faith!!

just to be clear those reports are out of over a 1000 users. and most of them because of using either the original formula or the newer formula with minimal or no rotation- AI's are irritants, some people are allergic to the orange oil, though with topical test (gel and patch) the rash percentage (dermatological reactions is 5-7%- AIFM is considerably less).

with the original formula- the range was about 3-5%- most with minor irritation- with rotation most of those continued. With the new formula and with proper rotation, its significantly reduced (it should be less than 1%- with proper rotation-- excepting of course allergies- even then irritation should be minor). Its hard to state an accurate and exact figure because most of the people who have had issues with the new formula, a small numbber in any case, either did not rotate or only rotated after they had a reaction (once you have contact reaction its more likely for you to react- thats just your natural immune/allergy system response). if you take time off, then this "increased risk" goes away. (your body forgets-- essentially-- though if you have an actual allergy- genuine to one of the ingredients-- as opposed to a developed or irritant based response--- it wont go away (you are allergic)-- and such reactions will typically occur almost immeadiately)

Not even one in a hundred. Do you think that all the people who don't get a rash post, "I didn't get a rash from AIFM"?

old formula = rashes developed
new formula 2 months 2x daily = 0 rashes :)

All you have to do is not apply it to any site where you get the tiniest hint of a rash or itching until the area is completely healed. I did that with the last of my original formula and everything was fine. I will admit that the stuff keeps you pretty dry.

update ... My bro has in fact discontinued usage, and is just using proviron for ome estro protection. Will be off completely come this wednesday. He has developped rashing and blistering on every site he used (even just once). This includes, wrists, forearms, chest, hip flexor/groin, and forearms(most of upper body). I beleive its now on the retreat. Itching isnt quite as bad. Now ... the worst spot is his right hip flexor, its the only one that substancially blistered. Now, the right groin/hipflexor lymph node is swollen. Just curious as to whether this is anything of concern. Probably due to the local irritation and possible infection I suppose. Anyhow, Im not trying to bash this product, this is clearly a rareity ... thnx

roc, it certainly sound like your freind is allergic to the orange oil (or one of the other ingredients) as opposed to the irritation type reaction that some people experience. Be sure to have him to return it.

Good for you!

I got a rash on my wrist and a nasty one on my hip. I still use the other AF products with success. You win some and you loose some. EYE PEE Said he would swap it with me for some SuperTest 3000.
