Advice Please

I pulled or strained something in my right pec 4 weeks ago. it was a very sharp pain that hurt pretty bad but didnt bruise or swell. I hate not being able to lift chest and its driving me crazy knowing how much strength in my bench im losing as time goes on. how long is the recogmended time to let a something like this heal. i havent lifted chest at all for 4 weeks now but it feels good right now. i dont want to jump the gun on this. some advice please guys. I was going to begin a bulking cycle in about 6 weeks.
 
Hmm, well if it feels all right, just try some low rep, low eight work and see how it feels. Start with an empty bar and work your way up.
 
my suggestion is test it out with some light wieght...do 3sets 8reps light weight just to stretch your pecks..if no pain...then do one more simple movement like push ups...if it feels fine after that dont push it anymore...wait till next week then start back to normal...thats my advice..g
 
has anyone ever had this pain before, it felt like how tearing a piece of paper sounds in the upper right corer of my pec by the armpit.
 
Ease back into it slowly with slow controlled light movements. You will get it back in time but rush too much and you could end up out of the gym much longer.
Unless you are a powerlifter I would also stay clear of flat bench in future. They are the most common excercise for pec and rotator cuff injury. If you are a bodybuilder having a big bench should be of no concern to you. Do plenty of flies and dumbell presses and your chest will grow with less chance of injury.

i've had that pain before...but in my inner thigh. its a killer and its because i don't stretch my muscles enough when i'm working out and they get tight from weight training. i just try not to stretch it or overwork it for at least 2-3 weeks. sometimes it takes longer and sometimes i just deal with the pain and work it anyway
