Advice on scrambled eggs?

Getting so damn sick of scrambled eggs, but they're just so cheap and convenient.

So.... any suggestions? I stir in some chicken stock, which helps.... anything else?

Make omelets with low fat cheese, green peppers, olives, mushrooms, etc.

make a sandwhich with scrambled eggs, lettuce or sprouts and lowfat mayo on whole grain bread (if you are ok with carbs)

make egg salad by hard boiling the eggs (boil them for about 10 minutes), then mash em up with mayo and salt.

hope that helps,
gabrielle

Must be something wrong with my brain....

.... because I forgot to mention that I'm on a modified keto sort of diet, so I have to keep the carbs right down.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway, and I'll use them when I come off the diet and start my maintainance diet.... but.... given the diet, anyone else?

So far, the only suggestion you can't have is the sandwhich. Everything else is very low carb.

ketchup and water can serve as both emergency blood mary mix or spagetti sauce

how bad is ketcup for you? i was told it was loaded with sugar, but how about a couple of dabs on your eggs then your spread it out?

I usually get some turkey bacon and chop it up into little pieces, saute' them a bit in some oil, get them a bit crispy, ( turkey bacon has 0 carbs and is low in fat ( the bad saturated fat ) )

I then mix up some egg beaters and stir in a little salt and pepper and whatever spices I like, then I add the crispy turkey bacon bits into the egg white mixture and pour back into the pan and scramble.

Another AWESOME breakfast ( which requires you to consume a WHOLE 6 carbs, c'mon it ain't that bad, use some ala or do a little more cardio to counter the LARGE 6 grams of carbs )

but I have some large la tortilla factory low carb tortillas and I use the same mixture I mentioned above but instead I pour it into a pancake type maker and make an egg white pancake, then I take whole turkey bacon strips ( you can also use regular bacon to make it crispier and a little more dense ) and cook them up then I take the egg pancake and place it on low carb huge tortilla and then place the bacon / turkey bacon strips ontop and then roll the whole thing into a large breakfeast ( yes feast! ) burrito, and since the egg whites and turkey bacon have no carbs, and only the tortilla has carbs ( it's like 9" round and only has 6 carbs ) and it tastes GREAT. Try it

Towards the end of the cooking process, throw in some cooked sausage, parmesan, and goat's cheese.

Ketchup has about 4 gms of carbs per TBSP but that's all sugar grams. When I was doing keto, it would kick me right out.

The 'shrooms and peppers are pretty low in carbs. They're also the "right" sort of carb (as opposed to straight sugar).

I generally would make an omelet with a bit of cheese and scallions. I added a few mushrooms if I had them handy.

I'm with mojokid on the turkey bacon. I crisp mine in the microwave, then crumble it up. I mix the turkey bacon and 2% lowfat cheese with my eggs while they're cooking. Splash on a little Tapatio or ketchup, and you're set :D

I usually scramble 1 cup egg whites and put on 2 pieces of pumpernickel bread with a slice of fat free cheese.

my godsend on ckd:

ZK's omelett contents:

Broccoli,
Sausage pieces,
Cheese,
Eggs,
Love.

Dont forget the love!

fry them in extra virgin olive oil for taste, and sometimes I throw some diced ham in with them....yum, yum...

My weekend breakfast:

Scramble 3 eggs and cook on med-low.
About halfway through cooking them, throw in a can of tuna, a little mayo, and cheese (cheddar or good parmeggiano reggiano work well). Season with sea salt and some black pepper.

Makes a nice little scramble. Lotsa protein, and easy too.

ok frankly i have been tired of the same old eggs...day in....day out...so i tried a combo of SLIFTER....thats the shit by the way!!!!! :) I added some relish and ketchup and ate that tasty treat on a wheat cracker!

Karma to you!!
