Advice needed on P.O Box / Seizure
I last week I had my first seizure notice, for $1850 of GH, my hard sunk, however my source being true to his word. He reshipped the whole lot but this time I have given a friends address in different town a different name, this time it got through.
I think its time to stop using my address for non domestic orders, as I am sure it will be red flagged now. This brings me on to my main questions.
I was talking to a good friend about this and he informed me that yes my address will be red flagged for 6 months “I don’t know where he got 6 months from”. He said millions of items come into the country some are hand sorted and usually pass ok others are machine sorted, the machine sorted items address is scanned and my postcode raises the alarm bells. Simply my changing the name on my address and entering one wrong digit in the postcode could make it slip through the net.
Any ideas on this????
In addition, I have enquired about a P.O Box address however have been advised against this as when items come into the country especially from say “Russia of China” P.O boxes raise the biggest alarms. He said I should rent a Satellite address which many companies use, which is simply a room where there is a woman who can take calls and receive orders, she may deal with lots of companies at the same time. No ID really needed, rent the address for a month and then move one, they do not cost that much if a few pals share it. You could call the company say Metal fitting for example, and have the packets labels commerce sample of metal clips. This increase the chances if items getting through.
Any ideas on this????
