Advice for working out @ 5:30am?

I post this here because I'll be using hgh and slin. I will be working out M-F. Hitting one bodypart hard in 45-60min. I'm running 3.6iu hgh M-F and taking just one inj in the am. When should I take this?Pre workout or Post? Im thinking before working out I'll take the hgh and than taking 15iu of slin post workout. Also, what should I eat before working out? Just some fruit and a coffee to get me going or some protein too? Im lost on what to eat before working out so early in the am, please help?.............galaxy
 
galaxy, I work out at 5:30 in the morning as well. I have found that if i get up at around 4:15 or 4:30 I feel better for my workout. I eat a "Great Start" or two before workout. All they are is a frisco biscuit with canadian style bacon, cheese, and egg. It works very well for me. You'll really just have to see what works best for yourself and your body. Good luck!

Man if you can tell me how you do it I would love to work out before work.

Do you crash at work? About 1/2 day?

If I could do this then I know I would sleep like a log at night!
 
Well I get up at around 4:15 and work out ar a little after 5:00. This gives me roughly 45 minutes to do what i need to before getting to the gym. This start off slow but i wake up eventually. I eat 1 or 2 "Great Starts" after i really start to wake up and my stomach growls a little. This is jsut enough to help wake me up and make the grumble go away without filling me up too much. I try to make myself move around and get as much blood pumping to my body as I can with my limited time. Sometimes on the extra-hard-to-wake-up days I will pop a couple caffeine/effedrine pills and that helps alot. I just started this routine abour a month or so ago so it was a drastic change to my body, very good. I dont completely waste myself there, but I get a damn good workout. I feel it easier to wake up in the morning knowing the first thing im goign to do is something I love, instead of something i have less enthusiasm for. I also have a workout buddy that helps me to get motivated in the morning. Afer the workkout i still feel a bit energized as the blood is pumping and im swolen. For the rest of the day I don't really feel drained liek i htought i would. I start to get tired around 2:00 but its not really bad. As long as i make myself keep moving I'm alright. Its more in your head than you really know. Hope I helped you guys, good luck!

I used to work out at 6 a.m. sharp in the summer due to my job-- but I find that waking up 1/2 hour before is wise-- and I make a water/whey shake with low carbs, and a serving of L-Glutamine. Works great for me, but i think it's good to stay a little hungry before working out-- but be sure to consume at least some food so you wont run of energy mid-way through the workout.

Just make sure to give your brain enough time to be AWAKE.lol

Definitely have some coffee to stimulate CNS functions, otherwise your lifts could really suffer. When CNS isn't working efficiently, muscle strength/contraction is lower. Just think that when you wake up and your hands are weak... same principle.

Now, for nutrition. Have a small whey shake, like 25g to restore amino acid pool for use during the workout. Sip on a carb beverage before and during your workout to reduce cortisol levels and supply glycogen to the muscles for better contractions/workouts. I usually just buy a tub of Gatorade and mix some with 2liters of water. This should allow you to keep intensity high without hitting a fatigue wall... especially on the bigger bodypart days.

If I know I have to wake up early to work out, I get the coffee set up the night before. I wake up 45 minutes before going to the gym, down some strong coffee and pop some ECA's.

The only problem with me and this schedule is I always have to take a shyte during my workout.hahahhaah
 
Depends what you are trying to accomplish.

When bulking I usually choke down a NLarge shake and 3 ripped fuel/ECA about 45 minutes before working.

If cutting, 100% 50g whey shake in skim milk with ripped fuel/ECA about 45 minutes before working.


Either way, after sleeping all night, you some type of protein calories and a little simple sugar to kick start it. I could not train that early in the morning without ripped fuel/ECA.
 
hey bro i work out in the am too..

i use to try to do it on an empty stomach and it didnt really bother me much but after a while it was easier to lose some intensity and i felt that i might not be pushing myself as hard...

so now i try to eat some carbs (breads mostly) and drink some protien before the workout.. i feel best if i can get the carbs in at least 45 mins b4 the workout...

i dont rely on eca's .. maybe ill pop them once in a while if i need a boost or something but they kill my appetite really bad so i dont like much

i also notice in the morning i need a bit more of a warmup too.. maybe not just for the muscles but just to pump myself up a bit more..

i would also shoot the gh a few hours post workout as you will get a gh release during the workout...but i am no expert in the GH world
