Adderall

New member
i have been prescribed adderall for the passed 3 months and have been taking it without having encountered any side effects (except insomnia) until now
i took 10 mg of adderall and began reading. About and hour into the read my eyes started crossing and i began to get dizzy and a slight feeling of nusea overcame me. I stopped reading and my eyes still involintarily began crossing
is this a normal side effect of administering an amphetamine? is this serious? are there any long ter side effects that i should worry about?
As much as l love the stuff, and i really do LOVE the stuff, i will be willing to get off of it if this side effects persists.
thank you in advance to all that replied

i should probably mention that although i have been orescribed adderall for the passed three months, i only take it when i need to study (maximum 20 mg) and sometimes 30-40 mg to party

Your just loosing your vision is all. Go get your eyes checked.

Not a day goes by that I don't wish I had some. If your eyes keep crossing, I recommend sending me the remainder of your prescription.

My younger brother had Adderall prescribed to him before years ago, his vision seems to be fine. I am sure it is just a phase.

Yes, I have seriously considered this, but I'm afraid that it might mess with me if I took it all the time. I've never had trouble focusing (I did the whole National Merit Scholar thing in high school.). Also, I might have trouble eating enough to gain weight.

Do you know if excessive use of adderall by those without ADD can cause them to actually develop the condition?

I don't believe so.
although like anything, you will gain a tolerance to the adderall and become dependent on it. When you go off, you will probably feel like you lack the same concentration that you originally had (before having taken the adderall). just an assumption though
