I was diagnosed with ADD about 8 years ago, I took dexedrine (amphetamine) for 5 years, on 6 months, then off for 6 months.

I didn't want it to be habit forming. I took dexedrine twice a day if i needed it. I am going back on a slow time release amphetamine

How will this affect a cuttung diet. Amphetamines supress the appetite, which is unhealthy.

As long as I eat my 1700-1800 calories a day, I should still lose fat slowly right? Or will i have to up the calories?

I don't know how the meds will affect you, but my daughter (ADHD) switched from regular ritalin (5 mg. 2 or 3 times a day) to the slow release once a day kind and it does not suppress her appetite nearly as much. She got an appetite for lunch, snack and dinner again. With the regular ritalin, she hardly ever ate a decent lunch and if she took an evening dose, forget about dinner. You will be avoiding the more dramatic ups and downs with the slow release. Good luck!
