acutane....

That's cool. Accutane definitely does the job. Don't worry if your zits get worse before getting better. Normally it takes a while for a pimple to form. They sit below the skin awhile before coming out as a zit. The Accutane speeds up this process, pushing those zits-in-waiting out all at once. After a month or so, things should really be looking good.

Things should be looking pretty good by then. I think by the third month I was completely clear, not even any redness from old zits. I went in for my checkup and the nurse asked "What are you seeing the doctor about?" I said "Acne" and she said "Where?" :D

Even if your face completely clears, stay on for the whole cycle to fully purge acne from your system.

thanks a lot FIT, i have just 2 more questions for you...1 how bad was your acne when you had it before accutane, and 2, did your joints ache at all??

thanks a lot, youve been a great help

peace

It was bad but not oozing pizza face bad like they show in the before and after brochure. I usually had 4 or 5 cysts going at a time, and those suckers hurt like hell. I'd tried all the other stuff, and it was only getting worse.

Yes, my joints did ache, but I think this was only at the beginning. Maybe it went away or I got used to it, because I don't remember it being a problem. Another annoying side effect at first was I felt really itchy all over my body. Thankfully that only lasted a few days.

The worst part of the whole treatment, other than the monthly blood tests, was having the corners of my mouth crack and getting nosebleeds from the extreme skin dryness. A & D Ointment helped in both places. I wasn't into drinking much water back then like I am now, so maybe increasing your water intake would help too.
