Acurate BF testing

Does anyone know how effective this type of BF test is?
I had it done by measuring up my bicep and then entering my stats into a comp. program, The they place a thing that looks like an old Atari joystick on my bi and click it. I am guessing it send a pulse through your body to determine lean mass. If so I have heard that they can be greatly swayed by recent food and water intake. I sure hope so, I was at 15% and figure I am more likely around 11-12% Please let me know your .02 Thanks in advance

water, caffeine and after eatting all affect the measurements if done electronically (without calipers). If the thing "clicked" im guessing they used calipers on you which need math equations to figure out overall body % but they really arent nearly as much affected by caffeine as the electronic measuring method.

consensus seems to be that none of devices to measure bf are worth it because they give one reading one day, and another the next.

The scale i bought for $28 dollars from Sams Club measures within .1% accuracy (and i notice that it fluctuates about 1% in body fat and mine is very high. i think the slimmer you are the less it fluctuates.)

Hope this helps!

honestly i dont think pepole are not as lean as they think or say....im really 8 % i had that same test done, but i am shredded prety fucking good now.. when i first got it done it said 11.9, and i though i was like 7 lol. the lady who took it said 11.9% is extreemly lean. thoes test with the calibater i dont think are accuret, unless done flawlessly because i can talt it one min on that and come up 16% then take it again later and be 11

I had the same type of test done as flexin did, and mine was 15% using that method compared to 8.2% via Calipers. There's NO way that I was 15% so I'll continue to use the calipers and use that as part of a way to measure BF loss.

Awesum
