When you say sporadically - is it related to AAS use? Otherwise could be from sweat in the gym - I always get it around my neck & shoulders where the straps on my tops are in the gym. Or on your face? There could be from touching your face, etc.
Wash your face regularly, shower, get out in the sun, tanning booths will help dry out some irritants.
Finally try loading some Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) -- its an OTC B vitamin you can get at most any drug store or nutrition store / GNC for fairly cheap. Load that for a couple of days when you feel a deep zit or get acne going worse than usual. You should see any deep stuff disappear within a day or two. I'll also put on some topical stuff to hit it on the outside as well.

Go to a dermatologist or have your doctor prescribe cleocin topical gel for your acne. Nothing worked at all when I was a teenager except that product. Still have a bottle on hand to this day. If I even get one blemish the cleocin gets rid of it faster than anything else.
And do keep you skin clean and shower after workouts or when you sweat the most. Change your t-shirt immediately afterwards too.
Might want to try some cetaphil cleansing soaps to wash those specific areas as well.

Isotrexin is a compound made from isotetrinoin (or something like that) and it is presented on the form of a topical gel. Isotetrinoin is the compound used to formulate that famous anti-acne medication, Roaccutane. However, in the case of Isotrexin, it is topical which means its less aggressive to the body (actually, there are no sides to it). I use it on a daily basis and keeps me acne-free. You might want to cycle it day on or day off if your skin gets dry (mine is quite oily).
Beware though: do not use isotrexin on the day before a sun-tan, for many ppl develope rashes from doing this.

go to a dermatologist....i suffer from acne...you need to try a bunch of topicals first.....most didn't work for me. as far as face wash goes...use triaz 9%...it's benzoil peroxide...keeps your face dry and less oily....then at night use tazarac....this in combo with antibiotics has helped...although i still get breakouts it has decreased dramatically...ask your doc...
i know people talk alot about accutane working, but it has lots of side effects

I have had minor acne and my face is cleared 99 % but my shoulders get some.

Fake tanning in beds would work. Plenty of guys do it. it's just sterotypical for some people to say only gays do it.
