i can get ACCUTANE £1 a tab 20mg

what does do you take a day

and is it really worth it for acne ,whats the side effects

A friend took some accutane, side effects are that it really dries you sking up ... including your lips, and it can affect you psychologically ... so the question would be how badly is your acne afffecting you/ your social life ...... weigh it out ... and see if it's worth the psychological anxiety.

40mg/ED would be your typical dose. It works very well, however the sides can be quite nasty. Super dry skin, chapped lips, dry nasal cavity - pretty much dry everything. IMO it should only be used for a severe acne condition.

Dude , my friend is currently taking that stuff 1 tab a day and he fells like strangling someone  Usually he's the calmest person on the earth. For clearing up acne nothing is better than accutane but I split the up pill to see how you react to the medication..
It has very strong psychologically effects!!!!!! Just read the side effects!!:kaioken:

I believe the Kid:freak: in Florida who flew his plane into building was being prescribed accutane!!!!!!

Half of the people giving advice on Accutane dont know shit about it .....

Read this:

You dont "take 20 mg and .." see how it works, or try it for "a while" ...... jeezus.

And that dumbfuck in Florida who flew the plane into the building ........ jeez ... hey I'll bet he drank some water that day, but no one says "water causes you to fly planes into buildings". The latest I heard, that dumbass never even got the script filled.

My post comes from personal experience. I've taken it 4x under a doctors care. Everything I said is completely accurate. Although the depression thing escapes me, never had those symtoms. I think Riker29 is correct, everyone seems to be saying this after that idiot flew the plane into the building.

do you even know how accutane works? what it does is... well here ill draw it for you

These are your oil glands:) :) :):destroy: <---- and this is accutane

my last girlfriend was on accutane, and from what i could grasp, it caused no emotional unstability. I mean she was emotional, but she's female... so that should explain that. I can however tell you for sure that it works, and works well! Just be prepared to be DRY

SimonF , you should really look at another option for your acne!!! That was the point I was trying to address accutane that is serious mentall side effects to drug. I ASSume (as of me) that he was intending to take it any way????

RIKER I read your post; very informative and hope Simonf takes the same precautions as you did? Do a search on yahoo for accutane , there has been a suicide helpline setup for accutane and the company that makes accutane has whole website for the use of accutane!!!

I seriously think that any Accutane/Suicide myths are due to the following:

Many people have SO much of their self-worth and identity wrapped up in their appearance.... if someone is insecure, and has a bad case of acne, this is a HUGE problem.

Accutane can be just short of miraculous. Docs also in many cases will "hold off" on prescribing it, because of its potential side-effects (which are a real issue, but manageable). The fact that Accutane is touted as THE r solution, and the fact that Docs hold off on prescribing it, adds to the Accutane "mystique". The kids gets this attitude "this will QORK. This is THE hope …"

Now, take some already unbalanced teen who is WAY self-conscious. Acne adds to this. He hears of Accutane as THE holy grail solution. He fights and finally gets his Doc to prescribe it.

Now he starts. And like 3 weeks later his acne is WORSE (as can happen with Accutane, it make it worse for a while ....).

Now the holy grail solution is NOT working, his last option, the final solution, is not working, his acne is worse .... and without an explanation of this (dumbass docs who don’t fully convey this issue, of things getting worse before they get better) the kids thinks all is hopeless ... this feeds his already massive insecurity problem. ........ the final "solution" (Accutane) is not helping ..... so he does a Kurt Cobain and kills himself.

It’s not the Accutane. Its the side effects, or the lack of knowledge about it, fueled by previous insecurities and emotional instability.

And STUPID people and DUMBASS Docs that do not adequately understand the effects of the drugs. And Parents who do not due an adequate job of instilling real self-esteem in their kids.

Not that I am like really passionate about such thing. LOL

Very well said; like most things in life it depends on the individuals' strenghths and weaknesses!!!! Thus a good doctor would be able to determine if the person has a type of mental health issue which could ultimately destroy the invidual..

The risk are still their as the FDA has done studies/ and there is documented cases and the pharmaceutical company has lenghty warnings/procedure when a doctor prescribes this medication.

:saw:

Hey bro. I have been on it at least 4 times in my life also. It is not something to screw around with, but it beats the hell out of permanent skin damage. With lotion, and vaseline lip therapy, you'll be okay. I would make sure you have a clean bill of health before taking it (blood work) and take it under a docs supervision. It works, but it takes a little time. My sides were dry everything and an occasional nose bleed ... maybe 3 the whole time I was on it. When this happened, I would put a tiny bit of vaseline on a q-tip and rub it in the nose. That worked very well. Also, it did not depress me, instead made me happy that the acne was being dealt with. My opinion.

I am on it now. Accutane is the shit. The side effects are exagerated. Sides you do get are easy to control. Go and get it.

I went to the Dr. last week and hoped she would put me on it. My insurance don't pay for it the first time around. She has to try something else first and if that dont work then they will pay. I hope to go back in a month and get a prescription. She told me it's around $200. per month for the accutane plus once a month she requires blood work be done. That's another $150. I will wait a month for the insurance company to pay.

I`m on accutane as we speak...i`m taking 80mgs a day and i`m on my 3rd week sides are dried skin and lips....went to the doc yesterday for a follow up and everything is just fine...blood work every month! accutane is the shit.
